Last revised October 2026Privacy policy
Pavitra Rishta Matchmaking Services LLP (“Pavitra Rishta”, “we”, “us”) understands that the details a family shares for a marriage are among the most personal it will ever share. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
It applies to visitors to https://www.pavitrarishtaindia.in and to every client registered with Pavitra Rishta Matchmaking Services LLP, 174, C.R. Avenue, Shyam Market Building, 6th Floor, Kolkata 700007. We handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.
Information we collect
When you enquire
Your name, mobile number, email address, community, city or country, any message you write, the website page you enquired from and, if you came from a package page, the package you asked about.
When you register
Details of the person seeking a match, as provided by them or their family: name, date of birth, age, height, education, occupation, income or business details, family background, community and sub-community, gotra, photographs, biodata, and partner preferences.
Birth details for kundli matching
The date, time and place of birth, used to prepare and match kundlis (Guna Milan and Manglik). If your family does not want kundli matching, tell your Relationship Manager and we will not use these details.
When you visit the website
Technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the site you came from. We use this only to run, secure and improve the website.
How we collect it
- From you or your family: through the enquiry form, by phone, email, WhatsApp, at our office, or during a personal visit.
- From the website: automatically, through server logs and, where we use them, analytics tools and cookies.
- From social media: if you contact us through Facebook or Instagram, those platforms may pass us your name and contact details.
When a family registers on someone’s behalf
Parents and relatives often register for a son, daughter or family member. If you share someone else’s details, you confirm that they know about it and have agreed to their biodata, photographs and birth details being used and shared for matchmaking. We may ask the person concerned to confirm this directly.
We register only adults of legal marriageable age under Indian law.
Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and call you back
- To assign a Relationship Manager and run your matchmaking
- To match kundlis, unless you have opted out
- To share your profile with suitable families, and to share their profiles with you
- To arrange and follow up on meetings between families
- To send service messages by phone, SMS, email or WhatsApp
- To keep accounts, issue invoices and meet our legal and tax obligations
- To keep the website secure and improve our service
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to matchmaking.
Who sees your profile
Your profile is shared only with families we consider suitable, one introduction at a time, as part of the service you registered for. We do not publish profiles or send them out in bulk.
Profiles are usually shared by WhatsApp, email or in person. Once a profile reaches another family, we cannot technically control what they do with it. We ask every family to use profiles only to consider a match and to delete them afterwards, and misuse can lead to the end of their membership (see our Terms).
Success stories and photographs on our website are published only with the couple’s and their families’ permission.
Sharing with service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to run our business, for example our client management system, cloud hosting for the website, spreadsheet and email services that receive website enquiries, messaging services and payment processors. They may handle your data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us. Some of them store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we choose providers with recognised security standards.
We may also disclose information when the law, a court or a government authority requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, our staff or the public. If our business is ever merged or sold, client data may pass to the new owner under the same protections.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as your membership is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you renew or need records of your membership. Financial records are kept for as long as tax law requires. When we no longer need your data, we delete it or make it anonymous. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see “Your rights” below).
How we protect it
Access to client data is limited to the staff who need it for your matchmaking. Our systems use password-protected accounts, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will inform you and the authorities of a data breach where the law requires.
Your rights
You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- correct or update inaccurate or incomplete details
- delete your data, unless we must keep it by law
- stop sharing your profile, or withdraw your consent altogether (this may mean we can no longer provide the service)
- stop using your birth details for kundli matching
- stop sending you promotional messages (service messages about your membership will continue while it is active)
To make a request, email profiles@pavitrarishtaindia.in or write to our Grievance Officer below. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The website uses cookies and similar tools to work properly, to understand how it is used, and to measure our advertising:
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity show us how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read and where people leave.
- The Meta Pixel tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when someone visits or enquires after seeing our ads, so we can measure which ads work and show our ads to people likely to be interested.
When you send an enquiry, we may also share your phone number and email address with Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form, so it can match the enquiry to an ad. Meta cannot read the original details from this.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and the website will still work. You can control how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
Links to other websites
Our website links to other sites, such as WhatsApp, Google Maps and our social media pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

Governing law and disputes
This policy is governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises about privacy, registration or payment, both parties will first try to settle it between themselves.
