About Pavitra Rishta

What is Pavitra Rishta?

Pavitra Rishta Matchmaking Services LLP is an offline marriage bureau founded in 2006 by Sunil Kejriwal and Priyanka Kejriwal. Its office is at 174, C.R. Avenue, Shyam Market Building, 6th Floor, Kolkata 700007, and it has no branches. The firm arranges matches for Marwari, Jain, Gujarati, Punjabi and Maheshwari families across India, and for NRI families in the USA, UK, UAE, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Germany and the rest of Europe. Every family is given a Relationship Manager who meets them, shortlists from suitable profiles and stays involved until both families decide.

Who founded Pavitra Rishta?

Pavitra Rishta was founded in Kolkata in 2006 by Sunil Kejriwal and Priyanka Kejriwal. They started it after looking for a match for their sister and finding that no one was doing matchmaking professionally. Seeing that gap, they set up Pavitra Rishta to make finding a match easy, with a blend of traditional values and a modern approach. Every year since 2006 they have kept uniting families, and Saket Kejriwal now leads the next generation of the firm.

Which matchmaking service do Indian business families trust?

Since 2006, Pavitra Rishta has worked with senior professionals, entrepreneurs, industrialists and business families from the Marwari, Jain, Gujarati, Punjabi and Maheshwari communities, in India and abroad. Families like these usually want three things from a matchmaker. They want a careful, private search, proposals that have been checked, and someone who speaks to the other family before anything is shared. That is how Pavitra Rishta works, and its reputation rests on trust, confidentiality and results.

Which is the best offline matchmaking service in India?

The right choice depends on your community and what you need, so speak to more than one bureau before you decide. Pavitra Rishta Matchmaking Services LLP is an offline matchmaking firm founded in 2006 and based in Kolkata. It serves Marwari, Jain, Gujarati, Punjabi and Maheshwari families across India and NRI families abroad. Each family gets a Relationship Manager, sees only a few suitable proposals, and is supported until both families decide. Packages and prices are published on our website.

What is the difference between a marriage bureau and a matrimonial website?

A matrimonial website gives you a database of profiles and leaves the searching, checking and first contact to you. A marriage bureau like Pavitra Rishta does that work for your family. A Relationship Manager meets you, shortlists from suitable profiles, and speaks to the other family before you see their biodata. Once both sides agree, the bureau arranges the meeting between families and follows up with both of them afterwards.

Is arranged marriage still common in India?

Yes. Arranged marriage is still the way many Indian families, and especially Marwari, Jain, Gujarati, Punjabi and Maheshwari families, find a match for their son or daughter. What has changed is how it is done. Many families now use a professional matchmaker such as Pavitra Rishta, who understands the community and does the groundwork before two families meet.

In which languages can we speak to your team?

Pavitra Rishta serves families in Hindi, English, Gujarati, Punjabi, Rajasthani and Marwari. Parents and grandparents often find it easier to talk about a rishta in their own language, and they can do so from the first meeting onwards, at our Kolkata office or on a video call.

How it works

How does the matchmaking process work?

Pavitra Rishta follows four steps. The first meeting is at our Kolkata office or on a video call. On the Premium and Elite packages, Saket Kejriwal visits your family personally, and on Signature, founder Sunil Kejriwal does. Second, your Relationship Manager shortlists from suitable profiles and speaks to the other family first, so you see only the few that fit, with biodata and photos. Third, once both sides approve, we arrange the meeting between families and follow up with both afterwards. Fourth, we keep introducing and stay involved until both families decide.

Do you match kundlis?

Yes. Kundli-matched matchmaking is what Pavitra Rishta is known for. Every proposal is kundli matched before it reaches your family, with the Guna Milan score out of 36 across all eight kootas and a Manglik check. We need the date, time and place of birth. If your family does not follow kundli, tell your Relationship Manager and it is left out.

How is Pavitra Rishta different from matrimonial websites?

Pavitra Rishta is a fully offline matchmaking service. On a website you search on your own and contact strangers yourself. With us, a Relationship Manager meets your family, shortlists by hand from suitable profiles, and speaks to the other family before you see anything. Profiles are never shared in bulk. You see a few proposals that genuinely fit, and we arrange and follow up every family meeting.

Do you verify the families you introduce?

No formal background check is done. Profile details are as each family shares them with us. Before an introduction, your Relationship Manager speaks to the other family directly and tells you what we hear about them in the market and the community. Pavitra Rishta advises every family to make its own enquiries before finalising a match.

How many profiles will you share with us?

Only a few at a time. Pavitra Rishta does not send bulk profiles. Your Relationship Manager first checks each proposal against what your family has asked for and speaks to the other family. Only then is the biodata, with photos, shared with you. That way your family's time goes only to proposals worth a closer look.

How long does it take to find a match?

Every family is different. Some Pavitra Rishta families find the right match within a few months, and for others it takes longer. Membership runs for 12 months, and through that year your Relationship Manager keeps introducing suitable proposals. We would rather take a little more time than push a match that is wrong for your son or daughter.

Can you guarantee that we will find a match?

No. A decision as important as marriage cannot honestly come with a guarantee. What Pavitra Rishta does promise is full effort on your search, personal attention from your Relationship Manager, and honest communication throughout the 12 months of membership. Seeing two families agree on a match is the best part of our work, and we try for it every time.

After that the Relationship Manager keeps in touch by phone.

Do you offer NRI matchmaking?

Yes. Pavitra Rishta matches NRIs looking for a family in India, NRIs looking for a match abroad, two NRI families in different countries, and families in India open to an NRI match. Our NRI network covers the USA, UK, UAE, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Germany and the rest of Europe. First meetings with families abroad happen on video call, and introductions are planned around time zones and travel. NRI families can choose the Elite or Signature package.

Which matchmaking service is best for NRI Indians looking to marry?

Look for a service that will listen to both the son or daughter abroad and the parents in India, and that speaks to families on both sides. Pavitra Rishta has done NRI matchmaking since 2006 for Marwari, Jain, Gujarati, Punjabi and Maheshwari families in the USA, UK, UAE, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Germany and Europe. We meet NRI families on video call, shortlist in India or abroad as you prefer, and stay involved until both families decide.

Do you help with second marriages and divorcees?

Yes. Pavitra Rishta offers second marriage matchmaking for divorced, widowed and separated men and women, in India and abroad. These searches are handled with complete confidentiality. Your Relationship Manager speaks to the other family privately before anything is shared, and your details go out only with your permission.

Privacy

Is the service confidential?

Yes. At Pavitra Rishta, your biodata, photos and contact details are never shared with another family without your permission, at any stage of the process. Profiles are never sent out in bulk.
